Sirius visits Wiggle & Sir H

After travelling through the night, Sirius arrived bright and early in Wiltshire on Wednesday morning. Wiggle was keen to say hello but slightly jealous at the extent of Sirius's wardrobe!

Sir H was still in bed, having a lie-in, so Sirius joined him for a nap. He was still in his PJ's, after all ....

I'd made plans to go and pick up our friend Sarah in Bristol as we were going out for the day, so Sirius rode up front, as navigator and co-pilot!

After our quick stop in Bristol we were back on the road, crossing over the Severn Bridge into Wales

I think Sirius was rather excited when he saw our destination - a whole store full of food and toys!!

Sirius had a go at pushing the trolley but needed a little help as it was a bit heavy for a little chap

Being a sociable fella, Sirius stopped for a chat with some of the locals...

Then after our shopping was done, we headed back to Bristol, going underneath the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge

After a little rest, Sirius sat and had a chat with Wiggle, telling him all about his busy day

Sirius was overjoyed to find where the booze was hidden but unfortunately over-indulged slightly...

... while Wiggle looked on, unimpressed.

After sleeping off his excesses, Thursday was another trip out, this time to Bristol to help my mum and I with our Christmas shopping. We took Sirius to the newly opened Cabot Circus shopping centre. The signs were big, even to a little furry fella!

Sirius was feeling a little fragile after his raid on the drinks cupboard the night before, so started off with a reviving coffee

Refreshed and raring to go, Sirius was quick to check out the animal themed Christmas decorations

Then it was time to get on with the shopping, so of course with Sirius being such a well dressed chap, his help choosing a present for my dad was invaluable!

While Sirius was feeling playful and having a game of hide & seek, he realised he too would look good in a red jumper with a snowflake on the front

Modelling his new jumper, Sirius tried to persuade us to take him to lunch at Raymond Blanc's restaurant...

But we had no time for rest, we had shopping to do!

After all that tiring shopping, Sirius was pleased to get home and have a little rest in Wiggle's bed

Tonight Sirius will be having an early night as we are off up to the Lake District first thing in the morning. Sirius will no doubt have plenty to report after his weekend away.

Sirius goes to the Craft Fair and does a Fashion Parade

I arrived at Sandra's after a busy weekend organising the Wiccaweys show, so I was glad to see that Sandra had ordered Pizza

She said I could have an easy time this trip, just as well, all this travelling can wear a dog out you know!

I did take some time to catch up on one of my favourite forums The Refuge (my fan club really!)

The next day we got in the car to head North, not all the way, just as far as her sister who lives in Middlesborough. It was a lovely day and we took time to appreciate the view that Sandra has every day going to work.

I had some travelling companions as well, which made the journey pass quickly

We stopped on the way for a little snack

We arrived at Karen's house and , as I was rather tired, went off to bed fairly early. Sandra said we had a hard day's shopping to do the next day..

Bright and early next day, we were off to the Craft Fair. It was very busy but thankfully Karen and Sandra had their priorities right and we had a coffee break before really getting stuck in.

That's Sandra's sister there in the pic along with Sandra's nieces little donkey friend who borrowed my scarf for the day.
Then we went shopping, boy do they like shopping. So much choice, I liked the look of this stall so I advised Sandra to purchase some items from here.

After the craft show we headed down to Birmingham because Sandra Had a meeting to go to for work, another day another hotel......

Back south again, with another stop off for a break, quite pretty this bit

I asked Sandra if she would do a fashion shoot for me as I have gathered quite a wardrobe. Well I am the stylish dog about town you know! Here the shots she managed, I am not quite sure she had the lighting right.....
The Scottish feel (this one is definatly Ingi's favourite!)
Flying Ace

Intrepid Explorer
Sports Star

Action Man

Casual look

Fancy Dress

Dr Who Groupie

Rugged Cowboy

Sandra pulled out all the stops and found me a horse as well!! Not as good as Lady T but not too bad.

Soon after that it was time for goodbyes and we went to meet Annie for my Pembrokeshire trip.
Both Poosa and I have lots of dates free in our diaries for next year. We'd love to come visit you and spread the word about the wonderful work that the Dogstar Foundation does in Sri Lanka.

Last day at HQ

I like planes , I know lots about them and have been to the RAF twice and sat on a Red Arrow so I am almost a pilot

I do like talking about planes ( and me ) so I asked Holly if she wanted to look at my airplane book . Holly is one of Sams UK dogs, Sam has all these 2nd dogs and cats that other people gave away because they did not want them anymore ( how silly are people sometimes ) and Sam took them because they needed a home. Holly is the smart dog in the house and she said she was busy counting sheep but I could try asking Salem the cat

Salem said he is more interested in sleeping in the sunny spot on the stairs than airplanes so he said we could ask Mr Tibbs

Mr Tibbs said he needed to groom himself and that takes hours so he suggested we ask Mark because Mark used to be in the air cadets

I reckon that was a long time ago but luckily my book is old as well

Mark was very interested in my book hoorah, and we talked about airplanes for ages

I also showed him a photo of me with 2 pilots I met on an Easyjet flight when I was with Natalie and Holly from the Dogs Trust

I asked Mark if we could show my book to Noah and Winnie , we called them over but they were more interested in me than the book

"oi Winnie watch where you put your nose"

As it was nearly time to leave I put on my PJs and went to say bye to Gertie

she got all humpy when I said I was leaving and would not talk to me

I don't think I understand women !

Trains, horses ,cars and cows

I see that Annie has done a blog for my 2nd trip with her ( I really like Annie she has booze in the house and goes on cool holidays ) this morning I was liking Annie a lot more than Sam because she suddenly decided I needed a bath

I tried to say Claire had washed was me in spring but she was having none of it and said I was covered in tea , smelt of booze ( lordy how did that happen )and slightly of dog ( no s*** Sherlock Sam i thought ) but once she gets her mind made up she is very stubborn so I had to strip off and get in

I my bath buddy was Mr Blues Brother Duck , it was good to have some one who could really sing with me and we did a duet of Everybody Needs Somebody To Love before I got out had to have a lay down with a towel ( hot water makes me a tad giddy )

once I was dry Sam said we were going to the main post offer in Milton Keynes to post some dogstar items. in the car i met another dog that works for Mark, his name is green dog and his job is to make the car smell nice ( if only I had known about him and his special powers this morning I might not have needed that bath )

when we got to the shops they were doing something called Christmas , I remember Christmas I was in Egypt last year so I got excited and told Sam there would be camels and pyramids

I could not see any camels but I did find a horse

and a train , I love trains ( not as much as Sam she is a right old train spotter ) I watched at the train driver and she waved back

So when the train stopped I popped up to the engine to say Hello , she was very nice but I forget in my hurry to ask her name ( Hello lovely lady if you are reading ) I did give her one of my business cards

we then looked around the displays for the missing camels and I bumped into Tarka, you might remember him he did a bit of acting in the late 70s but he got a bit typecast so now he takes this sort of work. Thats showbiz I guess

still no camels but Tarka said he had heard there were some large animals now living under the oak tree at the other end of the shopping centre so we went off to have a look

we found them but they were not camels , they are cows and special Milton Keynes concrete cows.

then it was time to get in the car , I did find some more my size but Sam pointed out although I have a passport I don't have a drivers licence ( bum ) so I had to go home in Marks car

I have spent a nice evening with Mark telling him about airplanes but will have to blog about that later as I have to go and pack my travelling box now as I am going to stay with Wendy again tomorrow. I have been to see Wendy before but Sam says she has 2 new rescue dogs now and one of them has a blog ( he sounds a good sort ) and the other one is a Sir ( not sure about that meeting a Sir sounds a bit posh )

back later

Love Sirius xxx
